I need the compatibility with every software. especially old games. and I'm not a computer hobbyist either, so configuring linux so that it does everything I want isn't an interest of mine. I once had a compsci-major friend of mine proudly tell me that it took him several hours of troubleshooting just to get the OS barely functional and connected to the internet...
